Places to stay in Exeter

Situated close to the Jurassic Coast, Dartmoor National Park and the beautiful English Riviera, Exeter is the ideal location for a city break, bursting with opportunities to head out into the country during your trip. A network of footpaths covers the rural area surrounding Exeter, as well as plenty of National Trust sights, making it ideal for a few days of fresh air without straying too far from the conveniences of the city!

Exeter itself offers an endless number of attractions, whether you're interested in the culture and heritage or just want to explore the shops and markets in the commerce centre. Tours around the city offer a fascinating insight into the history of the area; for a really spooky afternoon you can even take an underground tour of the medieval water system! On the High Street you'll find a number of recognisable brands, while if you make your way down through the side streets you'll come across a number of independent stores, offering everything from local produce to handmade jewellery and gifts.
