How to get here

By car: From the A55 coast road, follow signs for Llanberis along the A4086 to YHA Snowdon Pen-y-Pass. From the A5 turn onto A4086 at Capel Curig. Turn right at Pen-y-Gwryd Hotel. YHA Snowdon Pen-y-Pass is on the right.

The hostel has no guaranteed customer parking. A very small layby next to the hostel may be available on a first come first served basis. You are welcome to park here if there is space when you arrive.

Parking is available in the private car park across the road. Pre-booking is essential, via the JustPark app. Spaces must be pre-booked online outside of winter, at least an hour in advance and can cost up to £40 per day in peak season (or £20 for 8 hours).

A single space is available for blue badge holders to park free of charge, but this space cannot be booked in advance.

Alternative pay and display parking is available at Nant Peris Park and Ride 3 miles away. Charges are £5/day, plus the bus fare (£3 single fare).  No pre-booking is required.  Please note that parking for multiple days the ticket machine will not let you select future days. To park for multiple days, buy multiple tickets for the day of purchase and display them in your car. You can travel to the hostel via the park and ride bus until approximately 6.30pm (bus times vary seasonally) or by local taxis. Find out more about parking in Eryri (Snowdonia).

By bus: Snowdon Sherpa Buses connect the hostel with nearby towns, including Llanberis, Capel Curig and Betws-y-coed.

By coach: The nearest National Express coach stop is Colwyn Bay, around 30 miles away.
