Dogs can stay on our campsite. You can bring your dog for free if you are camping in your own tent. When staying as part of a Camping & Cabins booking, dogs are permitted in the public areas within the hostel (except in kitchens).

Guests have use of the whole hostel during public opening hours.

YHA Clun Mill provides basic but quality accommodation for guests, whilst retaining original features including exposed beams and stripped timber floors. The perfect spot for those looking for a relaxing retreat in the countryside.

Where you'll sleep

Across the entire building there is a total of four bedrooms.

First floor

Two en-suite rooms that sleep up to 4 people each. They include 2 sets of bunk beds.

One room that sleeps up to 7 people. It includes 3 sets of bunk beds and a single bed.

One en-suite room that sleeps up to 8 people. It includes 4 sets of bunk beds.

A cot is available.

Shared spaces

Kitchen and dining

The small kitchen is located on the ground floor and includes a range of conveniences listed below.

Kitchen appliances: freezer, grill, kettle, microwave, oven, 2 refrigerators, stove, toaster, washing machine. There is another oven and refrigerator in the annexe.

Kitchenware: dishes and cutlery for 23 people, kitchen utensils, pots, pans.

Cleaning basics: anti-bacterial spray, bin bags, cloths, paper towels, soap,  sponges, tea towels, washing up liquid.

Located on the ground floor, the dining room seats up to 24 people. There are three large tables with benches.

A highchair is available.

Lounge

There are two lounge areas located on the ground floor. Each has 2 comfy sofas and additional soft stools, providing seating for up to 6 people. There is also a selection of board games and books.

Bathrooms

Across the entire building there is a total of four bathrooms, plus an additional toilet.

Showers: 4

Toilet paper is provided and hand soap is available next to all sinks.

Outdoors

Outside is a large garden. The garden is enclosed with a fence and bushes and has a gate.

Dogs
Hire YHA Clun Mill and bring up to four dogs! Add a dog to your booking at the checkout and bring your four-legged friend along with you. Dogs are not permitted in the bedrooms, on the furniture or in the kitchen, and must be kept on a lead in the grounds.

This beautifully restored water mill in the Shropshire village of Clun retains much of its rustic, industrial charm, with exposed beams, stripped timber floors and old machinery still in place, giving the hostel plenty of character.

This rural retreat is now a great base for visitors on walking and cycling holidays, looking to explore the unspoilt landscape, hill forts, castles and picturesque market towns nearby.

Volunteering

Volunteering with YHA is a fantastic way to have fun, learn new skills, boost your CV and travel to different places. We have a variety of different opportunities to choose from and volunteering roles to suit everyone.

The tasks are varied and in return you will meet some great people, who both work and stay in our hostels, as well as enjoying your time off discovering the local area and attractions.
