The small galley kitchen is located on the ground floor, just off the dining room, and includes a range of conveniences listed below.

Kitchenware: dishes and cutlery for 15 people, kitchen utensils, pots, pans.

Cooking basics: salt and pepper, tea and coffee.

History

YHA Elmscott began life in 1879 as Elmscott School, providing education for around 70 pupils including war refugees. This then closed once the war was over and the refugees went home. In 1948, the building was prepared for it's new life with the classroom converted into two dorms.
