Ami Lyons at YHA Treyarnon Bay
Ami Lyons, a singer-songwriter from England has been self-learning guitar and writing music since 2013, gaining experiences and drawing inspiration from her day to day life on the open road across the world. Her music is easy listening and cheery.
She first started in New Zealand after acquiring her first guitar. She then travelled with this guitar, learning from the locals and gaining experience from playing music on the street, before playing at her first open mic night. This became a regular occurrence which, lead to her becoming more and more popular with the locals. She was in Scotland for the winter season, playing many gigs in the local pubs and writing more music in her free time. Here came the inspiration for the first few songs for her debut EP; 'Freedom', 'No such thing as goodbye' and 'Summer'. The EP was then recorded in November 2016 and released later in February 2017 on Spotify and Itunes.
”Folk meets contemporary and music that won’t fail to make you smile.”
“Ami writes songs with great hooks that are sometimes melancholy, sometimes funny but almost always optimistic.”
