Groups Membership is available to educational establishments, youth groups and other genuine organisations with a minimum of 5 members (9+ if travelling abroad) [click here for individual membership]

There is also a Young Persons Group Membership for groups consisting of, or set up to further the education of young people. If your group meets this criteria please print out this form and send it to YHA including documentary evidence to justify this such as a letterhead, compliment slip, charity, company or Vat number, or any relevant correspondence.

YHA reserve the right to ask for documentary evidence to confirm the validity of a group wanting Group Membership

Your membership card and any International Guidebooks ordered will be sent out within seven working days. For urgent memberships DO NOT SUBMIT FORM, please telephone us on 01629 592700. YHA (England and Wales) can only issue membership to people resident in the European Community (EC). If you live outside of the EC please click here for details of your home Association. Membership is valid for one year from the date of issue. The membership fees are valid until 28 February 2009.

Your YHA membership card is valid to the end of the month, 1 year from the date of issue, e.g. a card issued on 12 January 2007 expires at the end of January 2008.


YHA memberships are valid from the date of your application and cannot be advance dated or pre-dated.

Hostelling International Logo

Your YHA (England & Wales) membership card is valid INTERNATIONALLY.  This enables members to stay for a reduced price at over 200 places in England and Wales and use the network of 4,500 locations in 60 countries worldwide that display the Hostelling International sign.
