Be inspired and
YHA provides budget accommodation for individuals, families and groups. We aim to inspire all, especially young people, to broaden their horizons, gaining knowledge and independence through new experiences of adventure and discovery.
Volunteering with YHA is a fantastic way to have fun, learn new skills, meet new people, boost your CV and give something back. We can offer help with travel expenses, discounted meals and even free stays for volunteers taking part in residential opportunities. We have a variety of different volunteering opportunities so you can choose when, where and how you give your time to support us. You can volunteer on your doorstep at your local hostel, or at one of our many beautiful hostels throughout England and Wales. Volunteer Managers - apply now!
We are looking for welcoming hosts who can help our guests enjoy a fabulous holiday at one of our small hostels. If this is something you could help with we would love to hear from you.
Volunteer managers look after 23 hostels over the spring and summer. These are often in beautiful rural locations that offer a real escape from the pressures of everyday life.
The role involves customer care, administration, housekeeping, providing tourist information, answering telephone queries and looking after the security of the hostel.
Photographers - we need your help!
We are seeking help from volunteers who have great photography skills to capture inspiring images of our volunteers in action and fundraising events. If you can help us to update our image library we would love to hear from you.
You can find out more about the role here.
