Places to stay in Leeds

Located in the heart of West Yorkshire and surrounded by the stunning Yorkshire Dales, Leeds is the perfect location for a weekend city break. Whether you planning a cosmopolitan weekend tour of the city's bars and boutiques, or becoming one with nature by embarking on one of the many fantastic walks in the surrounding area, Leeds has you covered.

The city centre is full to the brim with high street and independent shops, mainly located around the main shopping street of Briggate and the beautiful Victorian arcades that line it. If you need a break from the hustle and bustle of a busy day's retail therapy, be sure to visit one of the many traditional Yorkshire pubs, hidden away in little alleys off the main drag.

Be sure to take advantage of the surrounding area too on your trip. The picturesque market towns of Harrogate and Ilkley are both easily accessible by train from Leeds, and the former mill town of Saltaire is also a must visit. Don't forget to pack your walking boots too - we recommend a hike up the famous Ilkley Moor for unsurpassed views of the Wharfe Valley.
