Join the ‘glamping’ revolution
Enjoy luxury camping without the luxury price tag. Available in the grounds of YHA Hawkshead and YHA Grinton, Camping Pods offer comfortable, affordable accommodation for up to five people, in the great outdoors.
Designed and built in Great Britain, a pod is probably best described as a wooden tent, but without the need to put it up or take it down. Pods offer secure, private accommodation, with all the benefits of sheep’s wool insulation, heating and lighting, making them an all-year round option, whatever the weather.
A standard size pod can accommodate a maximum of two adults and one child, but they are not suitable for more than two adults. Family pods make the perfect ‘den’ for up to two adults and three children, or small groups of up to 4 adults.
Pod guests need to bring all their camping equipment except their tent. Sorry but dogs are not permitted inside.
For your safety, all our pods are fitted with Carbon Monoxide detectors and fire extinguishers. We follow a strict health and safety guideline.
