Opened in 2007, YHA Whitby enjoys a stunning location in Abbey House, right on the headland with spectacular views of the Esk Valley and surrounding coastline. Plus, it's right next door to the famous Whitby Abbey ruins.
The Abbey has an interactive visitor centre and shop and you can sample refreshments in the tearooms or enjoy a picnic in the grounds.
In addition to the abbey, Whitby has all the ingredients for a fun-filled holiday. Visit St Mary’s Church and graveyard – famous for Bram Stoker’s Dracula, explore museums dedicated to Captain Cook, Whitby history and fossils or just relax on the safe, sandy beaches.
