One en-suite room that sleeps up to 5 people. It includes a single high-sleeper bunk with a double bed underneath and a set of bunk beds.

One en-suite room that sleeps up to 6 people. It includes 3 sets of bunk beds.

One en-suite room that sleeps up to 7 people. It includes 3 sets of bunk beds and a single bed.

A cot is available.

Kitchen and dining

The kitchen is located on the ground floor and includes a range of conveniences listed below.

Kitchen appliances: grill, 2 kettles, 2 microwaves, domestic-sized oven (plus 2 smaller ovens), 2 refrigerators (with freezer compartments), stove, 2 toasters.

Kitchenware: dishes and cutlery for 30 people, kitchen utensils, pots, pans.

Cleaning basics: anti-bacterial spray, bin bags, cloths, paper towels, sponges, tea towels, washing up liquid.

Located on the ground floor, the dining room seats up to 30 people across 12 tables.

A highchair is available.

Lounge

The lounge area is located in the dining room on the ground floor.

There is seating for 12 people across 3 comfy sofas and 3 armchairs. You can catch up with the news on the widescreen TV or wind down with a book or a board game.

Bathrooms

Across the entire building there is a total of seven bathrooms, plus an additional toilet in the entrance area.

Volunteering

Volunteering with YHA is a fantastic way to have fun, learn new skills, boost your CV and travel to different places. We have a variety of different opportunities to choose from and volunteering roles to suit everyone.  

The tasks are varied and in return you will meet some great people, who both work and stay in our hostels, as well as enjoying your time off discovering the local area and attractions.

History

YHA have had two hostels at the Eastbourne location since 1974. The original building stood from 1974 to 2004 and was converted from a former golf clubhouse. The second and current building is much different in design with a more modern and angular architecture.
