Five Free Things To Do In Bude

Enjoy the sand
The sea is of course the main draw in Bude, and the beautiful sandy beaches are a great place to idle away the hours. Enjoy a few games or sit back and watch the surfers splash around in the waves, it's a great place to relax.

Take a long walk
The South West Coast Path is Britain's longest waymarked footpath, and while covering all of it would take weeks, the section around Bude takes in the best of the region's coastal views and astounding pre-historic rock formations.

Cycling
North Cornwall has hills galore, so if you take your bikes along you'll have more exciting and challenging routes than you could ever wish for.

Lundy Island
Just offshore is Lundy Island (Lundy is Norse for Puffin), a nature reserve which provides the ideal spot to see a host of wild seabirds in their natural habitat.

Fishing
The fishing in Cornwall is excellent, with catches of bass, codling, flat fish, mackerel, whiting and dogfish all being possible from the rocks. Crabbing is also a great activity which the kids will love.
