How to get here

YHA Boswinger is in a rural location and public transport is relatively limited, so please come prepared to take advantage of this beautiful area and experience life at a slower pace.

Our tip is to pick up supplies en route, so you can spend more of your stay relaxing with lovely views and beach walks, safe in the knowledge that you have all you need to cook an evening meal! Breakfast is served at the hostel if you don't fancy cooking in the morning. We don't have an alcohol licence on-site, but you can buy beer and wine from local post offices during the day or take a trip to the highly-rated Barley Sheaf pub in Gorran Churchtown.

By car: From the A390 (St Austell) take the B3273 towards Mevagissey. After 5 miles turn right at the top of the hill and follow the signs for Gorran. After 4 miles, fork right to Boswinger (follow the brown tourist signs). The hostel is situated in Boswinger hamlet just below the Seaview International campsite.

By train: The nearest train station is in St Austell, 10.5 miles away. Travel Cornwall operates service 23 a few times a day between St Austell and Gorran Churchtown, which is a 1.5 mile walk from the hostel. Operators and timetables may vary and there are no services on Sundays or Bank Holidays, so it is recommended to look for the most up-to-date information at www.travelcornwall.uk.com.

By bus: Gorran Community Bus can be booked by email the night before you travel at [email protected]. This volunteer-run service can pick you up from the hostel car park and bring you back from a range of local destinations including Mevagissey, Truro, St Austell and Plymouth (depending on the day's route).
