Project 90

Respite breaks for carers, key workers and low-income families struggling in the wake of crisis

Reconnecting people with their loved ones, with nature and the outdoors will be crucial to improving wellbeing in the aftermath of the coronavirus crisis. But so many more families now need your support to access precious time away together and the benefits of travel and adventure.

This appeal has now closed. Thank you to everyone who supported the appeal and helped us raise over £540,000.

Background to the appeal

In celebration of 90 years of life-changing YHA adventures, we launched a special appeal to fund unforgettable activity breaks for 900 young carers and other children with challenging lives this anniversary year.

Then the crisis hit. Dealing a severe blow to our income and bringing sorrow and hardship to many in our community.

For young carers and children with challenging lives, bad situations have only been made worse. For NHS staff and key workers, the stress has been unimaginable. And with finances tight, fewer families can now afford the break they so desperately need.

We’ve extended our Project90 appeal to fund adventures for young carers, respite breaks for NHS staff and key workers, as well as low-income families who just won’t get a break without us.

Please donate to Project90 so we can help restore the wellbeing of those most in need of support.
