How do you get to this Youth Hostel:
By Car:Located at the top of a steep rise on the B6255 (signposted to Ingleton), just off the junction with the A684 at the western end of the village.
Cycle from Garsdale (6.2 miles), on RCR10 Yorkshire Dales Cycleway. NCR 68 at Garsdale.
Walk from the bus stop 0.2 miles 5 mins, on Herriot Way. Pennine Way National Trail 0.3 miles 7 mins.
Bus information:
There are buses to Hawes along Wensleydale seven days a week all year, and a bus service between Hawes and Garsdale Station on the Leeds-Settle-Carlisle railway line on Mondays to Saturdays all year.
Extra services run on Summer Sundays and Bank Holidays, including a connection from Ribblehead Station and a through service from Leeds.

Darlington (38 miles) on East Coast main line. From London King’s Cross, GNER daily roughly hourly. On cross country network centred on Birmingham. From Birmingham New Street daily every 30 mins. Regular direct trains from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Bristol, Exeter, Bournemouth, Reading and Oxford.

Nearest National Express stop; Northallerton or Kendal. No public transport available from Kendal to Hawes.
