YHA St David's Access Statement

• Approached by A487 Fishguard road just outside St. David’s on B4583 – follow signs to Whitesands Bay – hostel is clearly signposted from the golf club.  Access is along single lane track.  Car park adjacent to the hostel with setting down point close to entrance.
• 2 small steps at threshold of reception/lounge area, ramp to Dairy entrance.
• The ground floor of Dairy is all on the same level; facilities are a self-catering kitchen/dining room and bedrooms.  There are 3 stone steps down to the toilets and showers that are then all on an even flat surface.
• Good colour contrast to floor, walls and doorways throughout the Dairy.
• Bedrooms clearly signed with raised slate room names.
• No smoking or pets (assistance dogs welcome).
• Disability awareness courses as part of the Welcome Host scheme are undertaken by all of our staff.
• Whitesands Bay, one of the best beaches and seaside resorts in Wales 15 minute walk.  St. David’s 2 miles, Fishguard 15 miles, Haverfordwest 18 miles.
• Public Transport: Bus – Richards 411 Haverfordwest – Fishguard (passes close to Fishguard Harbour station), alight St. David’s then 2 miles.  Rail – Fishguard Harbour 15 miles, Haverfordwest 18 miles.
