YHA Bryn Gwynant offers stunning views over Llyn Gwynant and Snowdon and makes a great base from which to explore the area. Walkers of all ages can take the Watkin path up Snowdon, which begins less than a mile away, while the Cambrian Way is even closer. For wet days, there's an interesting time to be had at the Sygun Copper Mine between Llyn Gwynant and Beddgelert.
