YHA Brecon Access Statement 

• Approached off A40 (Abergavenny to Brecon road), drive through village of Groesffordd, the hostel is clearly marked on left-hand side.  Take second turning up drive to hostel, drive through Car park to set down passengers at front door and then drive round to car park at rear of hostel. 
• Steep incline up drive to hostel.  Level setting down area, small step up to entrance of hostel.
• Main entrance into hostel has wide wooden doors to porch and hostel.
• The ground floor lounge, dining room and toilets are accessible to all.  The self-catering members kitchen is approached via several steep steps.  There is one 8 bedded bed on the ground floor with en suite toilet and washbasin.  The other bedrooms are all on the first floor accessed by a double flight staircase, some en suite rooms. 
• Good colour contrast to floor, walls and doorways.
• No smoking or pets (assistance dogs welcome)
• Disability awareness courses as part of the Welcome Host scheme are undertaken by all of our staff.
• Nearest town is Brecon 3 miles.
• Nearest bus stop is 1 mile at Brynich Lock.
• Nearest train station is at Abergavenny 20 miles.
