Provisional Booking
We will hold a booking not secured by a deposit for 2 weeks. Should a deposit not be received after this time we reserve the right to release the dates to other enquirers.

Deposits
To secure your booking we require an initial deposit of £250 for exclusive weekend bookings and £100 for bookings taken on all other basis. This must be accompanied by a booking form, completed in full and signed.

Final Payment
You will be invoiced for the final balance 10 weeks prior to the wedding with the monies due received no more than 8 weeks before the wedding date.

Numbers
The final number of wedding guests attending the wedding/reception/meal must be confirmed 4 weeks before the day. Where a minimum number has been stated in the brochure, then this is the number that will be charged for even if the number of guests drops below this. For example, where we stipulate that a minimum of 80 for the ‘exclusive wedding weekend’ then this is the minimum number that will be charged for, irrespective of the numbers actually attending & eating.

Cancellation
The initial deposit as stated above is non-refundable irrespective of the circumstances leading up to the cancellation. Further to this, should cancellation of the event take place, a cancellation charge based on the value of the pre-booked business will be levied on the following scale:

Less than 4 weeks prior to the event	100% of the value of the booking
Between 4 and 12 weeks prior to the event	75% of the value of the booking
Between 12 and 26 weeks prior to the event	50% of the value of the booking

The value of the £250 deposit will be deducted from any cancellation fee levied

Cancellation by Hartington Hall
We may cancel the booking at any time without obligation to you in any of the following circumstances:

If the Hall, or any part of it is closed due to fire, by order of any public authority or through any circumstances beyond our control.
If you become bankrupt, or insolvent or enter into liquidation.
If you are more than 30 days in arrears with any payments due to us.
If the event may, in our opinion, prejudice the reputation of Hartington Hall or of YHA.

Smoking
Please ensure that all of your guests are aware that we have a no-smoking policy.

Bonfires and Fireworks
Due to the rural nature of our property and our own animals on site, we regret that no fireworks are permitted. Unfortunately we do not have a suitable place for a bonfire.
