This friendly YHA is situated in the stunning scenery just south of Ullswater, perfect for exploring the surrounding ridges and fells. The energetic will want to scale Helvellyn or try mountain biking and rock climbing. Those after a relaxing break can chill out on the Ullswater Steamers, and there is a sports massage clinic on site. YHA Patterdale is a great place for a party, and special meals can be organised for groups. In the evening, there's always a chance you will catch an impromptu music session in full swing. Plenty of toys and games are available to keep children entertained. The hostel has an alcohol license and there are also pubs in the village and more cafes and restaurants in nearby Glenridding.
