Leeds Castle with beautiful grounds, duckery and adventure playground, renowned as 'the loveliest castle in the world' is just 20 minutes drive away. Rochester has the second oldest Cathedral in the country, a stunning Norman castle with panoramic views over the town and River Medway and plenty of independent shops and restaurants. Charles Dickens fans can see where he lived at Eastgate House in Rochester and where he died at nearby Gad's Hill as well as visiting the Dickens World theme park at Chatham. The Historic Dockyard celebrates our maritime history and is home to three historic warships and a submarine to explore as well as the RNLI and Kent Police museums.
