There are numerous Charles Dickens connections in Rochester as well as the Dickens World theme park at Chatham. The Historic Dockyard gives a insight into our maritime history with ships and a submarine to explore as well as the RNLI and Kent Police museums. The excitement of London is just 40 minutes away with excellent rail links from Chatham station and YHA Medway is only minutes off the M2 giving good access to the motorway network and the Kent ports.
