How do you get to this Youth Hostel:
On foot, follow river to Litlington footbridge, then take bridle path west from footbridge. YHA Alfriston is 400m from bridge,where path joins the road. If walking from the village, there is a pleasant pavement parallel to the road, behind the hedge.

Bus information:
CCB Ramblerbus-summer Sats and all year Suns. Passes YHA Alfriston hourly from Berwick trains and to Seaford trains. Circular route. Service 126 Mon-Sat, 4 or 5 times a day. Seaford (Morrisons)via YHA Alfriston and Polegate to Eastbourne Terminus Road.

Train information:
Under 2 hours from London Victoria. Use Berwick station on Sunday (all year) and Saturday (summer) for connection with CCB bus door-to-door. Use Seaford on other days for bus 126 or taxi rank. Check bus times before choosing train station.

Ferry information:
Newhaven to Dieppe twice daily with Transmanche ferries, crossing time 4 hours winter, 3 hour faster ferry in summer. Reasonable prices.

National Express:
Seaford or Polegate and use service 126 or taxi.
