Hathersage - Local Info
Hathersage is a busy village with excellent shops and pubs.You can walk or cycle in all directions in the wonderfull landscape of the Peak District National Park. Hathersage sits below the gritstone formations of Stanage & Burbage where you can get to grips with some of the countries best climbing routes or walk along the edges and take in the superb view over the Hope Valley.
This is a great place for a quiet retreat.
Catering Information
Regretfully we have had to close the catering kitchen at YHA Hathersage and we will be unable to offer a meals service for the rest of this season. Guests will continue to be able to use the self catering kitchen. A number of pubs and local establishments offer food locally at a range of prices.
A recent inspection by YHA has uncovered important issues with the fabric of the kitchen which need to be addressed. In the circumstances YHA has deemd that we should not continue to offer catering. The health and safety of all our guests is given the highest priority by YHA.
YHA realises that this will be a disappointment to customers and we regret the inevitable disruption. Anyone who wishes to cancel their stay will be entitled to a full refund and YHA is in the process of informing all guests who hold bookings.
