Crowden - Local Info
The nearest town is Glossop which has regular train services to Manchester so you can enjoy the relaxing countyside and pop into the city for a bit of shopping therapy if required!
Holmfirth (Last of the Summer Wine Country) is only 20 minutes drive.
The National Coal Mining Museum is only about 45 minutes drive away - not far from Huddersfield.
Visit the caves at Castleton for the day and then drive over Snake Pass back to Crowden for a well earned home cooked evening meal.
