Alstonefield is a delightful village set in rolling hills criss-crossed by the limestone walls typical of the area. Chatsworth House and Alton Towers are both less than an hour's drive away, as are market towns Leek, Ashbourne and Bakewell. There are two pubs within easy walking distance that serve food.
