Take a step back in time with a re-enactment of ancient battles by the Britannia Group at Flag Fen Archaeological Park in Peterborough.
Made famous by the blockbuster film Gladiator, the group recreate the battles that took place between the Romanised British Celts and the invading Saxons.
Flag Fen Park makes the perfect base for the event and is home to a unique ancient wooden monument, built 3,500 years ago and used by Celtic fen people as a place of worship.
It’s a great day out for all the family and general admission to the park costs £5 for adults and £3.75 for children. Events may cost slightly more.
