Castleton Christmas Lights

15 November 2008 to 3 January 2009
Castleton, Derbyshire

The delightful village of Castleton, often referred to as the gem of the Peak, becomes a magical place at Christmas.

Filled with pretty lights, decorations and numerous Christmas trees, visitors are attracted from far and wide to enter into the festive spirit.

Children’s rides and a Santa’s grotto will keep the young ones entertained while adults can enjoy festive music and Christmas carol concerts.

Late night shopping takes place during the weekends before Christmas with some shops and cafés staying open until 9pm on Friday and Saturday nights and until 8pm on Sundays.

The lights are switched on at 4.30pm on November 15
