With breath-taking views and some of the most popular gritstone climbs in Britain, the Peak District is the perfect place to experience the exhilaration of climbing.

Great Oke Abseil

Join us for the descent at the "Great Oke Abseil".
Adventure Okehampton provide a unique experience with this freefall abseil from Meldon Viaduct down to the Okement River. Usually operating Saturdays throughout the school holidays between April and October. This activity can be challenging. Descend to the valley floor over 100 feet below from just £17.
Booking is advised to avoid waiting around, however feel free to 'drop in' and see us when we're working at the viaduct.

How to get there:
Walk from Meldon Reservoir Car Park or the Car Park at Meldon Quarry. Or for more sustainable methods of transport, take the Dartmoor Railway to Meldon Viaduct (First train at 10.30, ticket not included in price) or hire a bike from Adventure Okehampton (cost not included).
