YHA Eastbourne is now open. With the South Downs Way on its doorstep this great location offers an ideal base for exploring what will become Britain’s next national park in the South Downs.
Whether you want a countryside break or the chance to explore some glorious coast this is the place for you. The brand new YHA offers all the excellent facilities guests expect of a modern YHA.
All bedrooms are ensuite and one bedroom is able to accommodate wheel chair users. Self catering only is offered with a lounge / dining area and a garden ideal for relaxing and for families with small children.
“YHA Eastbourne is a great example of a modern small Youth Hostel, accommodating up to 30 people in seven rooms, and shows our commitment to providing what customers want in the right locations,” says Chris Darmon, YHA Chairman.
“Right on the South Downs Way we’re thrilled that Eastbourne is open again now that a National Park for the South Downs has been announced.”
As well as the South Downs Way the new Youth Hostel is a great base for exploring Eastbourne with its famous pier, promenade, bandstand and sandy beach.
“We’ve already been receiving bookings from families and the super new building with its all modern design is already proving popular with families,” says Wendy Nicholls, manager of YHA Eastbourne and nearby YHA Alfriston.
YHA Eastbourne has been totally rebuilt following a fire, in which no one was injured, in 2004. The new Youth Hostel complements existing YHA centres at Alfriston, Telscombe and Blackboys. A new Youth Hostel at Southease 14 miles away is due to open in the autumn.
