Our Partners

Partnerships help provide a solution to problems and are a means of providing more to deliver our objectives. Together we are stronger.

Partners bring different skills and perspectives which enable YHA to:-

· Deliver more experiences including education, sport, culture, and activities.
· Meet our charitable object through helping more people of limited means.
· Involve more young people through recruitment, volunteering and participation.

We work with other bodies dedicated to creating new opportunities for young people, including the police, Prince's Trust, the Scouts, the Guides and Raleigh International.

We also have major partners in PGL, Field Studies Council and a range of activity providers, who work with us to deliver our summer camps programme.

We have links with many schools who help us deliver our commitment to education and learning for young people.

We undertake projects with bodies responsible for sustainable development, in particular the Regional Development Agencies and the Countryside Agency.

A strong cross party agenda and political drive supports the service YHA provides for young people.  YHA enjoys good support from many MPs, particularly through the All Party Parliamentary Youth Hostelling Group, and  many MPs support Youth Hostels in their constituencies.

YHA works very closely with the Department for Children, Schools and Families who currently fund the Di4R summer camps and a pilot programme for community cohesion camps linked with specific Local Authorities.

We collaborate with other environmental and countryside organisations, such as the National Trust, the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers, the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, and the Wildlife Trusts.

YHA, working with the Campaign for National Parks and the National Parks of England, contributes to the Mosaic Partnership – a programme that supports and encourages Black and Minority Ethnic groups to experience the countryside.   The scheme is funded by Natural England.

We are grateful for the support of all those with whom we work.  The following organisations are represented on YHA's National Council.
