For 90 years YHA has helped all, especially young people of limited means, to explore the beauty and breadth of England and Wales.

We’ve been here for generations, looking after unique places and creating experiences that inspire lifelong love of travel, the outdoors, heritage and nature. Adventures that turn lives around.

Help us keep going for generations to come.

Why make a monthly donation?

Travel and adventure are proven to improve mental and physical health and wellbeing. That’s just under normal circumstances. Now, more than ever, people need YHA and the access we provide to green space, affordable breaks, and opportunities that build confidence, resilience and skills for life.

In 2020, YHA suffered a significant drop in income. We have done everything we can to reduce the impact, but we need support to get us through.

YHA needs you.

Places

We care for a network of unique, often historic, buildings. Our hostels offer doorstep access to England and Wales’ most loved landscapes and landmarks. Your support helps us sustain and preserve them.

What your donation could do

£5 a month could

pay for a low-income family to get at least one night away each year — time to escape, reconnect and have fun together.

£10 a month could

support a child coping with huge challenges to have an amazing, active adventure once a year. One that will bring hope for the future.

£15 a month could

inspire fresh ambition and teach a young person new skills, by funding an education residential or work experience placement.
